A Weekend of Milestones

This has been a very exciting weekend at our house. Late last week Ben's first tooth started poking through. Yesterday was one of the biggest snowstorms we've ever seen and today Ben has been talking more than ever and finally rolled over again! (The first time since he rolled over once when he was 6 weeks old). Whew! No wonder he can't sleep - he has too much to do! :)

What a difference a few months make!

Ben was having a blast playing in his bouncy seat this morning and Josh and I were talking about the first time we put him in the seat. He was 5 days old and so tiny. I think he is going to outgrow the seat soon.

Happy Hanukkah!

Benjamin is enjoying his first Hanukkah. Grandma, Popi and Uncle Adam came down to celebrate with us. Ben had fun opening his presents and looking at his new toys!

Guess who can scoot around...

As he's demonstrating in the picture, Ben has discovered that if he digs his heel in he can move backwards around the floor! He started out with his feet at the bottom of the mat. This is making diaper changes interesting.

Snow!

We had to take Ben out today to see his first snowfall. He was kind of confused when the snowflakes landed on his face. We only stayed outside for a couple minutes.

Thanksgiving Part II

Ben had a good time visiting with Mimi and Uncle Joel and Aunt Rhonda after Thanksgiving.

Ben had a great first Thanksgiving at his Gilbert grandparents house in NJ. He had fun playing with Grandma, Popi, Uncle Adam, and Makiko. He is looking forward to seeing his Great Grandmother on Friday.

Smiley Baby

Ben has been so happy and smiley lately and we finally captured a couple smiles with the camera! He especially likes it when we kiss his face and he seems to think it's funny when I say "Benjamin". He also thought it was very funny at 5am this morning when I told him it was time to go back to sleep.

Ben had a lot of fun playing with Grammy the past few days. He had some of his biggest smiles this morning. Here are some cute pictures from the past week or so.

Happy Halloween! (and happy 2 month birthday to Ben!)

Ben was going to be Hannah for Halloween but the black cat costume was "infant" size and unfortunately more appropriate for a 12 month old. Oh well!

Discoveries

We're having a good week. Ben had two big discoveries this week - Hannah and his hands! He never noticed Hannah before but I've seen him staring at her a lot this week. He's always been pretty good at somehow getting his hands in his mouth, but this week I caught him examining his hands.

Ben loves to lay on the floor and kick his legs like crazy. He is in his swing right now (he is very sleepy but doesn't want to nap and is talking to the lions on the mobile instead) and he managed to kick off the blanket that I tucked under him and somehow he also got rid of a sock. Those legs are powerful!
