Out on the Town!

We took Ben out to a sit-down restaurant for the first time last night. He did so well! We were very proud of him. It helped tremendously that a mariachi band started playing shortly after we got there. Ben had a front row seat and was completely mesmerized by them. Too bad they can't come on the plane to Florida with us this week!

Quack Quack!

7 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that Ben is already 7 months old. He is such a sweet, silly boy! He also has a definite independent side. Last night he was playing with his toys in the tub and did not want me to wash him with a washcloth so he pushed my arm out of the tub!

He is sitting up really well. It just kind of clicked one day. I can actually sit across from him and play with him now. He also likes to play Peek-a-Boo with me. He hides his face with his bib or onesie while I'm changing him and when I ask "Where's Benny?" he pulls it down with a big smile on his face.

Even though I am really, really not a morning person, my favorite time of day is when I give him his first bottle. It's usually still dark out and at first he is still sleepy and wants to cuddle. As he finishes his bottle he starts to wake up and he smiles and laughs and is ready to start the day!

Visitors!

Aunt Alison, CJ and Sara came to visit this week. We had a lot of fun and Ben really enjoyed playing with the kids. I think they wore each other out! CJ tried really hard to teach Ben how to crawl but no luck - maybe next time! Ben gave Sara big smiles when she helped me get him when he woke from his naps.
